Experienced professional coder is responsible for daily coding, denial management, charge hold, RAI resolution and abstraction for Anesthesia and Pain Management . The coder is responsible for escalation of coding questions and request for coding guidance to the Coding Coordinator and/or Supervisor. Participate in internal QA audits and provide feedback in the compliance QA process. Minimum Job Qualifications: Education/Training – High School diploma or equivalent. Professional Coding Certification CPC, CCS or CCS-P. McKesson SCC Coding Certification required. Business Experience – 1-3 years Production Coding experience with both quality and productivity requirements. Lead Coder or Supervisory experience a plus. Experience auditing is preferred. Specialized Knowledge/Skills – Professional Coding Certification. Good communication skills. Proficient with Excel and MS office products.
