Function Overview

Whirlpool is seeking qualified candidate for a Project Manager opening to join our Integrated Supply Chain organization. This role will be located in Benton Harbor MI. This role could also be remote. This role is a process manager not a people manager.

We are looking for a highly motivated professional with strong leadership, communication and change management skills. As a project manager, you will be responsible for leading strategic, cross-functional Integrated Supply Chain projects

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage order fulfillment process improvement projects to improve customer service, reduce lead times, and reduce costs
  • Reengineer distribution network with dynamic fulfillment capabilities
  • Develop planning and manufacturing capabilities to improve customer service and optimize finished goods inventory
  • Manage International original equipment manufacturer (OEM) process improvements to reduce inventory and improve availability
  • Create lean integrated supply chain engineering projects
  • Information system implementations and upgrades, to include SAP and WMS upgrades
  • Mange Cost to Serve improvement projects that will enable lowering the cost structure and improving service for the Trade Customer Support organization
  • Inbound and Outbound transportation optimization projects
  • Plan and execute strategic Integrated Supply Chain solutions
  • Manage projects with competing objectives, for example reduce cost and reduce inventory and improve customer service
  • Secure and manage project resources and coordinate business case development
  • Manage scope, cost, time and quality through the end-to-end project life cycle
  • Manage change and communications, while consulting on project management best practices to functional organizations throughout the enterprise
  • Communicate project status to senior leadership and orchestrate project tollgates
  • Establish and maintain project-related standards, processes, procedures, and templates that may be implemented to help drive standardization of project management practices throughout the organization
  • Deliver high performing project results in diverse functional areas utilizing influencing skills and persuasion
  • Gain deep knowledge of Whirlpool Corporation’s Integrated Supply Chain business processes and tools that support those processes

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years’ experience in Procurement, Supply Chain or Business

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in business, logistics, or engineering
  • 2+ years of Project Management experience; PMI certification preferred
  • Experience working with global team in previous roles
  • Experience in Lean or Black Belt certified is preferred
  • Strong data analysis, interpretation, and experimentation skills
  • Strong verbal presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrated success in a team environment with proven ability to work cross functionally to achieve goals and objectives
  • Strong decision making skills with clear goals for meetings or projects
  • Experience managing multiple projects
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to manage change
  • Ability to work independently and make autonomous decisions when necessary
  • Organized with an attention to detail
  • Ability to consistently deliver results through direct and indirect influence
  • Cross functional experience preferred
  • Multitask and prioritize fast
  • Experience with G Suite Tools, Microsoft tools
